We know that the function crosses the x-axis when y=0. What numbers can we plug into the function for x that will make the entire function = 0?
If x = -8 or 4 then the function is = 0.
Since coordinates are displayed as (x, y),
A. (–8, 0) and (4, 0)
is your answer because x = -8 and 4 in these coordinates.
