The temples played an important role in state religion since most of the religious activities across Egypt took place there. Thus visiting of the temple was enforced but only the religious leaders were allowed to enter the temple while the rest worshipped elsewhere.
The temples were significant in most communities religious worship and practices hence it was important because they were visited by people from all walks of life

The answer is D) Temples played a large role. Temples were the focus of all religious worship and practice in most communities.

Egyptians temples are some of the best sources of information for historians. The daily lives of the people, what they wore, what they ate and the social class system has all been captured in the form of arts and crafts.

The Egyptian temples consisted of priests and idols, and were used for the worship of gods, the coronation of the pharaohs, and were at the center of a town's social life.
