Hello!

I believe a formula, where distance is y, we could put it in slope intercept form.

y=5(21)+100

This is the formula and by the end Ezra will be sprinting 205 meters.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

From formula
x_(n)=5* (n-1)+100 It is found that on
21^(st) day Ezra will be sprinting 200 yards

Explanation:

Let us consider
x_(n) be the sprinting distance for each day where n=1,2,....21

We have given on first day Ezra starts by sprinting 100 yards

Therefore on next day Ezra will be sprinting

x_(2)=5* 1+100

x_(2)=105 yards

on third day

x_(3)=5* 2+100

x_(3)=110 yards

similarly, on
n^(th) day sprinting distance is given as

x_(n)=5* (n-1)+100

therefore on
21^(st) day sprinting distance will be

x_(21)=5* 20+100

x_(21)=200 yards

Therefore from this formula
x_(n)=5* (n-1)+100 It is found that

on
21^(st) day Ezra will be sprinting 200 yards.
