Add the numbers in the matrices in order. -6 + -3 = -9; -2 + 2 = 0; 2 + 1 = 3. So our solution matrix will have [-9, 0, 3], choice D from above.

Answer: D) [-9 0 3]

These are two matrices (plural for matrix) we're adding here. The idea is to add up the corresponding elements. Since both are 1x3 matrices, addition is defined.

Row1Column1: -6 + (-3) = -9
Row1Column2: -2+2 = 0
Row1Column3: 2+1 = 3
