A tennis ball, a bowling ball, and a feather are dropped from the top of a tall building at the same time. Consider what you have learned about air resistance. Which object reaches the ground first?

Since we're NOT ignoring air resistance, the objects
will all reach the ground at different times.

-- The bowling ball is heavy and smooth, and has no hair.
The air will have the least effect on the bowling ball.
The bowling ball will reach the ground first.

-- The tennis ball is round, and that's good.
But it is not too heavy, and it's covered with hair.
The air will have a significant effect on it.
The tennis ball will reach the ground second.

-- The feather has lots of edges and spaces.
It has an odd shape, and is all hair.
The air will have the greatest effect on the falling feather.
It's possible that the feather has not even reached the ground yet.
