2(n+4) + 6 = (1/2)(3-n)

Then 2n + 8 + 6 = 3/2 - n/2
and 2n + 14 = 3/2 - n/2

(5/2)n = 3/2 - 28/2 = -25/2
-25/2
n = -------------- = -5 (answer)
5/2
