Following rules of logs, we can do the following:

log x^4 - log y^(1/2) + log z^3

Combine the first and 3rd factors to get log [x^4*z^3]

Seeing that the neg. sign signifies division, write this new term - log y^(1/2) as a quotient:

[x^4*z^3]
log ----------------
y^(1/2)
