Quick Answer: 3rd one down.

Make it more specific. Suppose he runs 10 meters north. He turns around and then runs 10 meters in the opposite direction. That would be south. He is right back where he started from.

B and D suffer from the same problem. They go 5 meters in 1 direction and 6 meters in the opposite direction (or the other way around). You are not going to get back where you started from.

A doesn't work either. You have gone 9 meters from where you started from and stopped. You are 9 meters from where you started.
