If the current value of the baseball car is 50 times its original value, its original value will be its current value divided by 50.

Let
v represent the current value of the baseball card. We know form our problem that $62 is 50 times the original value,
v, of the baseball card, so translating this statement to an equation we get:

62=50v

v= (62)/(50)

v=1.24

We can conclude that the original value of the baseball card was $1.24.
