a=15

(-10b = -30)

5a-30=45

5a=75 (45+30)

a=15

75-30 = 45

Hey there! :)

First, substitute b with 3 and multiply by 10

10 × 3 = 30

Here is the new equation:

5a - 30 = 45

45 + 30 = 75

5a = 75

Divide both by 5

5a ÷ 5 = a
75 ÷ 5 = 15

a = 15

Hope this helps :)
