It would be the rectangle with a length of 24in. and a width of 8in. You double the original length and width.

Answer:

Hence, in matrix from it could be written as:

R'=24/8=[24,8]

Explanation:

It is given that:

The matrix R=12/4 i.e. R=[12,4] represents the length of 12 in. And the width of 4 in. of a rectangle.

If matrix multiplication is used to double the length and width of the rectangle.

i.e. the length of rectangle will get doubled so that the length will be=12×2=24 inches.

and similarly the width of the rectangle will get doubled and hence width of rectangle will be=4×2=8 inches.

Hence, in matrix from it could be written as:

R'=24/8=[24,8]
