Let
x-------> represent the length side of the original square patio

we know that
Area of the original square patio=x²
x=9 ft
Area=9*9---------> 81 ft²

if Ezra reduce the width by 4 feet and increase the length by 4 feet
then
the new dimensions are
(x+4) ft x (x-4) ft

Area of the new patio=(x+4)*(x-4)----> (9+4)*(9-4)----> 13*5---> 65 ft²

therefore

the answer is the option
