Based on the Texas Constitution of 1876, it is mandatory that the Texas residents:
1. Should respect the sovereignty of the state of Texas and help in preserving the rights of the government primarily by abiding its laws.
2. Should maintain the equality of rights among their fellowmen, and no man has exclusive rights or privileges which means everyone is not exempted whenever a crime or felony is being committed.
3. Should respect every individual's religious beliefs or practices and should not discriminate especially whenever a position is being given to such individual.
4. Should allow the accused of criminal liability to undergo due process no matter what authority is imposing immediate punishment or action.
