Quick question, is this the same as this???

cuz I got -4 square root of 5
but the answer sheet said -2 square root of 5 minus 2.

probably a stupid question but I have a test on it tmr and I want to make sure cuz u never know if they’re tryna trick u

Your first steps are correct. Mult. the given fraction by (1+sqrt(5)) / (1+sqrt(5)).

Result: 8(1 + sqrt(5) ) 8(1 + sqrt(5) )
------------------- = ----------------------
1 - 5 -4

Must keep that denominator (-4).
