Multiply 9 inside the terms:
So we get: 9x+9 = 25+x
Moving X from the other side to the 9x side, so it changes the sign from + to -
9x-x = 25-9
So, 8x = 16
X= 16/8
Therefore, X=2 is the answer

Multiplying as indicated, 9x + 9 = 25 + x
Combining the x terms: 8x + 9 = 25
Combining the constants, 8x = 16.
