Write the equation of a line in slope-intercept form that is parallel to the given line and passes through the point (-16,9).
y=-3/2x36

So we know the slope of the equation because the slope of two parallel lines are the same:

y = -3/2x + b

9 = -3/2( -16 ) + b

9 = 24 + b

b = -15

so the equation of the new line is y = -3/2x - 15
