The correct answer is the Battle of Brandywine.

This battle took place on September 11th of 1777. This British victory was an important one, as they forced General George Washington and the American troops to retreat to the capital at this time (which was Philadelphia). Even though this battle was only one day long, it was a day in which an extensive amount of fighting took place as historians estimate that fighting went on for close to 11 hours on this day.
