Use the Pythagprean theorem:

c^2=a^2+b^2
We have:

a=9;\ c=13
Substitute:

9^2+b^2=13^2\\\\81+b^2=169\ \ \ |-81\\\\b^2=88\to b=√(88)\\\\b=√(4\cdot22)\\\\Answer:\ b=2√(22)\approx9.38

Hey there! :)

You have to use the Pythagorean Theorem: a² + b² = c²

a² + b² = c² → c² - a² = b²

c = 13
13² = 13 × 13 = 169

a = 9
9² = 9 × 9 = 81

169 - 81 = 88

√88 = 9.38

b = 9.38

Hope this helps :)
