Show algebriacally that the sum of two consecutive numbers is always odd

x + (x+1) = 2x+1
Here, 2x+1 is always odd
For example the value of x is 2 then we can say that,
x=2; x+1=3; 2x+1 = 5 [odd number(5)]
= 2 + 3 = 5
