When an issue creates disagreement among the states, how does federalism solve the problem? Each state is allowed to make its own decision about the issue. Federal and state powers are equal, so the issue has to be debated. Since federal powers are superior, the Constitution is applied. The national government creates unique rules for each of the states.

Answer:

Since federal powers are superior, the Constitution is applied.

Step-by-step explanation:

Such principle is held in the Supremacy Clause found in Article VI, Paragraph 2 of the U.S. Constitution. The clause establishes that all federal laws are the supreme law of the land and therefore all states, federal officers and judges are bound by it, which means that when an issue creates disagreement among the states or when there is a conflict between state and federal laws, the Constitution (the federal laws) should be applied.
