π= 3.14


AREA OF CIRCLE FORMULA
A= πr^2

A= (3.14)(5)^2
square 5 first

A= (3.14)(25)

A= 78.5 m^2


ANSWER: Rounding up to the nearest whole number, the area of the clock is 79 m^2 (second choice down).

The area of circle could be determined using

\boxed{a = \pi * r^(2) }

plug in the numbers
a = π × r²
a = 3.14 × 5²
a = 3.14 × 25
a = 78.5
to the nearest whole number
a = 79

The area is 79 square meters
