The United States of America has become a home for people of different countries. Many of the immigrants come here for a better life and opportunities their countries didn't have. Open immigration should be allowed; immigrants make a lot of the US population. A lot of the people will come to the U.S to pursue better opportunities. They also come here for work and although they get paid low wages they are still able to pay taxes. They work jobs which most american citizens wouldn't even think about doing such as crop picking, maids, construction labor, and janitors just for a few examples. Most of the jobs are decent but without immigration labor workers those jobs would probably be non-existent due to the simple fact that Americans just wouldn’t be interested in doing them. This leads to the fact that the economy would plummet. Most young immigrants who were brought here as babies are wanting to further their education and go to college; with the DACA program they are able to have a decent education and although they have to pay for it they work very hard in order to have the best education they possibly can in which their countries couldn't provide them. They should allow this so immigrants can have better health coverage in the US. In America we have medical teams that are very advanced in what they do. We provide the best medical care there is, and because of this some immigrants aren't able to afford it even though they are very ill and need the medical attention in order for them to survive. Refugees should also be welcomed into our country, we should welcome them with open arms and accept and not deny them. A lot of immigrants flee to America because of the terror in their home country. We should not discriminate against them for their race and assume they are terrorists and criminals running from their problems. We should be more open with immigration; they have benefited our country in many different ways and if they hadn’t immigrated this country would look very different. There may be some cons but in the long run if you compare the pros and cons; the cons are much lesser than the ros and immigrants have done so much for this country that most people born in America could never achieve.
