it was the principal means of the USA providing support to the allied powers in the ww2. The decision was announced to the eager nation as the war raged on in Europe and Asia, on March 15, 1941. Roosevelt saw the need for the nation to act first and take a bolder step in curtailing Nazis advances in the war.
