Janna is saving money. her savings plan is shown below. janna has$34 and will save $6 per day. write an equation to repersent the relationship between the number of days and amount saved. indicate what each varible repersents in the equation?

Hi! So the equation would be y = 6x + 34 where y is the total amount.

You have 6x because the x shows how many days you are getting the 6 dollars.
You have 34 because that's how many dollars you started with. That is called the y-intercept.

For example, if I saved 6 dollars for ten days (which would be my x)--my equation would look like...

y = 6x + 34
y = 6(10) + 34
y = 60 + 34
y = 94
