Intuition is conventionally defined as a form of knowledge that cannot be acquired though conventional means such as observation, analysis, experience, and reason. It is the ability of a person to promptly understand a concept without the need for reason. Aristotle defined intuition as a "leap of understanding" rather than as knowledge.
