It is important for a patient to be weigh in order to have a baseline weight however patients may experience embarrassment, be angry or deny their weight. One can show privacy through proper communication and being sensitive to the patient by having a gentle approach like asking them questions in private in regard to how comfortable they are in their weight and if they tried losing weight.
