I don’t know what the options are but I would say either similar or rotated

options are
similar but congruent
similar but not congruent
congruent but not similar
neither congruent nor similar




first some definitions
congruent shapes are exactly the same, same size, angles, etc
similar shapes are proportional to each other

so a square with side length 1 and a square with side length 4 would be similar but not congruent

if you rotate shape II 90° counter-clockwise, it looks like shape 1


compare sides

the base of shape II would be 3 and base of shape 1 would be 2: ratio of 3:2

left vertical side of shape II would be 1.5 and left vertical side of shape I would be 1: ratio of 1.5:1 or 3:2

height of shape II is a little over 3 and height of shape I is 3: ratio of about 1:1

so the ratio of heights isn't same as ratio of others


neither similar nor congruent
