Lets solve our system of equations step by step:

y=2x-1 equation (1)

3x-y=-1 equation (2)

Step 1. Replace equation (1) in equation (2)

3x-y=-1

3x-(2x-1)=-1

3x-2x+1=-1

x=-2 equation (3)

Step 2. Replace equation (3) in equation (1)

y=2x-1

y=2(-2)-1

y=-4-1

y=-5

We can conclude that the correct answer is: A (−2, −5)
