Measurements that are close to the correct value are accurate.
Measurements are values that are obtained by ascertaining the quantity, size or level of something. Measurements are usually expressed in numbers. Measured values that are close to the correct or standard value are accurate. For example, if the actual weight (measurement) of a cup is 10kg, and an individual weighs the same cup and obtain a weight measurement of 4kg, the measurement is not accurate. Measurements that are close (such as 9.5kg or 9.8kg) to the actual value (10kg) are accurate.
