before the industrial system, land was owned through a system called feudal system. however, along other factors, the lords were able to push the peasants into urban centers through the land enclosure system. Several people sold their land while the peasants migrated to urban centers, where the begun working as craftsmen,begun cottage industries which later grew to industries. In addition, the agrarian revolution also led to increased production.
