Catholic Reformation or the Catholic Revival was principally known as the Counter-Reformation which was the age of Catholic resurgence that was launched in acknowledgment to the Protestant Revolution. It started with the Council of Trent and mainly desisted with the 1781 Protection of Toleration, although more modest removals of Protestants extended into the 19th age. Admitted to conserve the power, power and physical resources possessed by the Catholic Church and to confer a religious and physical difficulty to Reformation.
