Organic compounds are compounds which contain carbon and hydrogen covalently bonded to each other and other elements, most notably oxygen, nitrogen, etc.

Inorganic compounds are any compound which cannot be classified as an organic compound (meaning they lack carbon-hydrogen bonds).

In this case, the second molecule (carbon dioxide, CO₂) is an inorganic compound.

Elements are substances that cannot be broken down and contain a unique amount of protons. Sometimes, elements exist as diatoms in nature (two atoms of the same element).
