Area of lid = (area of rectangle) + (area of semicircle)
= (45 cm)*(22 cm) + (1/2)*(π*(13 cm)²)
= 990 cm² + 265.46 cm²
= 1255.46 cm²
The area of the lid is about 1255.5 cm².
