Abiathar

He was the chief priest under David in Jerusalem, along with Zadok. He supported Adonijah, in the struggle over succession won by Solomon's party. Abiathar initially retained his post under Solomon but he was shortly exiled to Anathoth for his allegiance to Adonijah

The name of the chief priest at Nob who exiles King Solomon is Abiathar. It was late in David’s reign he became a defender of Adonijah - a person who took a position of power and was dethroned by King Solomon and dispersed to Anathoth. With his death, the ancestry of Zadok appeared as the leading priestly clan.
