1.- In this problem we have to find the area of the circle. We know that the formula to find the area of a circle is:
A= πr²
Meaning area of the circle= 3.14*radius²
Since the radius is equivalent to half the diameter, and we know the diameter is 40, the radius is 40/2 or 20ft
Which means the area of this circle is equal to
3.14*20
²
Which is equal to 1256

2.- Here we need to find the radius
And since the diameter of the tablecloth is equal to 42+8, to find it we just need to divide 50 by 2 which gives us 25
50/2= 25

3.- This question asks for the area to obtain it we use the formula:
A= πr²
So...
Area= 3.14*25²
Which is equal to 1962.5

ANSWERS:
1.- 1256 in² (option 2)
2.- 25'' (option 3)
3.- 1962.5 in² (option 3)
