fire enabled early humans to preserve meat which they hunted. the smell of this meat and its left over as well as the need to get warmth from fire side may have led to the self-domestication of wolves.
On crop domestication, fire enables several crops that could not be eaten raw to become edible. In addition, some theories argues that fire meat preservation benefits gave human time to work on lands which they cleared using the fire.
