For which of the following situations would the order that items are chosen NOT matter?

A.Finding the number of ways to choose class president and class vice president out of a class of 30.

B.Finding the number of ways to choose a council of 3 students out of a class of 30.

C.Finding the number of ways Alice, Bob, and Carl can sit in a row. Finding the number of ways to choose 2 vegetables out of 10.

D.Finding the number of ways to choose a 4-letter password out of 12 letters.

A. The order matters here because the positions are different.

B. The order does NOT matter since every member on the council has equal ranking. This is the final answer

C. Order does matter because we're finding out how many ways there are to arrange Alice, Bob, and Carl. I'm not sure why your teacher decided to throw in a vegetable question right after, but it doesn't make a difference since overall order matters for the first one.

D. Order matters since a password like ABC is different from BAC
