It is a growth of part of plants that has a respect to the forces of gravity,whwn a plant grows upward it is negative geotropism.when a downward plant grows it is positive geotropism

A geotropism is the growth of a plant part in response to gravity. Examples of this are Negative tropism (growth of shoots skyward / away from ground) and Positive Tropism (growth of roots into the soil / downward)
