The question is: Which macromolecule has she most likely damaged?

The answer is, she damaged a protein. Proteins are macromolecules that have many roles in the cell and one of them is the cellular transport.
On the cell membrane, there are various transport proteins that facilitate the movement of large molecules in an out of the cell. Without them, cellular transport of large molecules would be impossible because the cell membrane is permeable only for small molecules.
