Current recommendations for heart health are to reduce intake of trans fats in the diet. how would this be best accomplished?

I believe this would be best accomplished by consuming as little fat as possible because of the harmful health effects that are similar to saturated fats.
Trans fats raise the bad (LDL) cholesterol levels and lower the good (HDL) cholesterol levels. Eating trans fats increases the risk of developing heart disease and stroke. Additionally it is associated with a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
