d= diameter= 12 ft
STEP 1
find radius
r= radius
= 1/2d
= 1/2(12)
= 6 ft
STEP 2
find circumference
Circle Circumference Formula
C= 2πr
C= 2(3.14)(6)
C= (12)(3.14)
C= 37.68 ft^2
ANSWER: The pool's circumference is 37.7 ft^2 (rounded to nearest tenth).
