sin²x / tan²x
But tanx = sinx / cosx
sin²x / tan²x = (sinx / tanx)²
sinx / tanx = sinx / (sinx/cosx)
= sinx * cosx / sinx
= cosx
Therefore: sin²x / tan²x = (sinx / tanx)² = (cosx)²
= cos²x
Hope this helps.
