Area of a sector (s) = radius (r) · θ (in radians)

First, convert 168° into radians using the proportion π = 180°

( \pi)/(180) = (x)/(168)

(168\pi )/(180) = x

(14 \pi )/(15) = x

Next, plug in x for θ
s = r · θ
= 8 ·
(14 \pi )/(15)
=
(112 \pi )/(15)
= 23.457
≈ 24.0
