A parabola contains the points (-4,0) and (8,0). What is the equation of its axis of symmetry?

The zeroes are at x = -4 and x = 8
The axis of symmetry is a vertical line passing through the center of these 2 points
That is through x = (8 - 4) / 2 = 2

Axis of symmetry is x = 2 (answer)
