B. Al Canal de Panamá- a railway opened between San Jose and Puerto Limón on the east coast, and the main port in Limón served the country's banana industry. This train was Costa Rica's equivalent to the Panama Canal, because its main purpose was to provide easy passage from one coast to the other.
