let the side of the square be = a

Area of square = a²

Given,

radius of square,


(diagonal)/(2)=(a\sqrt 2)/(2)=(a)/(\sqrt 2)=6\sqrt 2 m


a = 12 m

Area of the square,

⇒ a² = 12² = 144 m²
