Use the distance formula just like you would to find the length of any segment in a coordinate plane.
d= \sqrt{( x_(2)- x_(1)) ^(2) +( y_(2) - y_(1)) ^(2) }. Our formula filled in with our variables looks like this:
d= \sqrt{(2-(-1)) ^(2)+(6-(-4)) ^(2) } which gives you
√(109) =10.44
