Set each denominator equal to zero.
The values of x that cause the expression to be equal to zero are excluded from the domain.
1.
1 - 2x = 0
-2x = -1
x = 1/2
2.
x^2 - 2x - 15 = 0
(x - 5)(x + 3) = 0
x - 5 = 0 or x + 3 = 0
x = 5 or x = -3
