to find the value take the b and divide it by two. then square it. here your b value is 2 so 2/2 is 1. squared is. 1.

In order to solve this you have to remember the formlua for the perfect quadratic trinomial:


a^2 + 2 ab +b^2=0

IN the example you have A^2 and 2ab, since A=1, then the 2x will resulto from the multiplication of b and a multiplied by 2, so we just have to divide 2x by 2x to get b:


(2x)/(2x)=1

So we get that b is 1.
