the monkey will not be strongly affected. it may lose a bit of eyesight or it may not be able to see color, but in best case scenario: nothing drastic will happen.

Answer:

Will be strongly affected

Step-by-step explanation:

Mutation in the eye can be as harmful as in the case of retinoblastoma tumor where retina gets destroyed due to change in the functioning of RB1 gene or it cannot be harmful at all as in the case of distinctive eye color such as blue and green.

In both the cases whether harmful or not, mutation will create a great impact not only on the present generation of monkey but also on the forthcoming generations.
